Suggestion: Slur placement w.r.t. ties

I’d like an additional option for slur placement that would split the difference between the two current options and seems to match what I mostly see in 19th century orchestral scores.

Namely, slurs start from the beginning and end at the end of the tie chain, EXCEPT when the tie chain crosses a bar, in which case it starts at the end of a tie and ends on the first note.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve made a note of it.

A more elegant way of stating it that just occurred to me: If the slur can start and end such that the slur is contained within one bar, do so.
