Supervision Spectrogram: How do you get freq readout on the cursor

Supervision has some great options. It allows for spectrum inspection without going through ARA/Spectral layers when you arent really using the tools in it.

Whilst positional capabilities are on the cursor readout, when you want actual detailed freq info which is the whole point, how do you get that to readout at mouse points on the display?

Else its kind of half baked/useless except for eye candy ie its mean to be a problem solver

Good point!

I’m going to add this to me SuperVision feature request thread

Some “minor” improvements to SuperVision - Cubase - Steinberg Forums

While it doesn’t appear this exists yet, if it’s of any assistance and you didn’t know, right clicking on any of the modules pauses them.. which gives you a moment to ascertain a frequency a bit better.

Thanks…yes; the pause doesnt really help with problem solving accuracy

It actually needs a spot amplitude as well while you are at it

Yes, and a full crosshair instead of just the vertical

As it is, this is outdated and needs much improvement.

Supervision was a great start but I still use prism for the main level meter. They need to allow vst modules in the supervision framework not just proprietary and a docking system for all the non modal GUI

This I might have to respectfully disagree with… allowing other VST into SuperVision introduces a significant variable of potential error, where it’s just better if SuperVision always works and there’s no mucking about. It would require so much other reworking in development as well to accommodate 3rd party VSTs..

Sure…in a perfect coding world…modular is best. Its no diff to implement vsts that abide by a framework…sure, no probs to disagree

But GUI docking for the plugin system is a no brainer. There are some 3rd party system tools but they dont work that well.
Glue edges…once you use it…hard to go back tbh
