I’m wondering why are we allowed to edit notes in the MIDI editor for playback suppressed notes?
Not a big issue, but if they happen to collide with existing notes, such as for showing alternative passages, then it can get a little challenging to edit them as you keep grabbing the wrong one.
I’m impressed that the MIDI notes ‘ghost out’ into an outline, but it seems a refinement might be to disallow editing altogether. Unless they still output for MIDI export? But no … quick check exporting to Nuendo those notes aren’t exporting.
So suggestion to still show them if you like but disallow editing, since there’s no access to them for the user otherwise, listening or in export.
