Supress Windows Beep when adding FX

If anyone else is tired of hearing the windows BEEEEEEP when you type in the name of a channel effect to search and hit enter. This post has some info on how to go into your windows sound settings and disable the “default beep.”

Not sure if this is a new thing or I just never noticed with my old sound card, but it’s been driving me up the wall.

Never had that problem. But setting the system sounds to “absolutely never ever any sound at all” is one of the first things I do on any system. :winking_face_with_tongue:

This. Annoying sounds should be created by me, not the operating system!
