I have this urge to mess with some multi speaker mixes. is there a cheap or Cubase add on I can get to include some surround tools? No, Nuendo is out of my price range.

I greatly appreciate it.

I have looked into melda and waves. Looking for something Cubase if available or low end market if available.

Shoot, I may just be missing some routing secret, lol

I’m assuming you’re using Cubase Pro 8 as that is the version that includes surround support.

The VST3 plugins included support surround sound use. The VST3 spec allows the plugins to adapt to however many channels are in a track they are inserted on.
