Hello bklopman,
there are some threads about this. AFAIK Dorico cannot do this natively (yet!), but here’s a very useful workaround:

Tempo equation possible?

The first line can be input with the tempo popover (Shift-T) as “feierlich e=92”. The second line can be produced as text (Shift-X) with the Metrico font for the notes like “ruhige Achtel ss=3es” where the text “ruhige Achtel” must be another font then Metrico (i.e. Academico) [Bildschirmfoto 2025-01-20 um 20.58.11]

Just for anyone wanting a direct link to MusGlyphs…
It is not part of Dorico but many of us have purchased it. Available here (with a suggested price to help pay for its development)
