Dorico for iPad seems to be missing swinging 8th notes. What a shame. I do not understand how it could be absent?? Have I missed it?

Gee thanks for your smug reply. Very helpful. Just trying to learn how to use your software. I don’t appreciate your tone but thanks for trying to help.
Sorry if my tone didn’t come over flattering, and yes, I did answer your questions with actually two questions. I am writing in English, even if that’s not my mother tongue. You will meet many very friendly, polite, helpful and well-meaning people in this forum - from all over the world (I am writing from Europe), so to avoid misunderstandings let’s keep a friendly tone (I include myself). And please keep asking, we are here to help each other.
Have a happy Dorico time!

Hi @pathwork, also from me: welcome to the Forum.
Here some useful informations (in case you missed them. Otherwise: sorry):
and
I wish you a nice time with Dorico
Ok, thanks, I think. I don’t need to be flattered. Just looking for some clarity. I guess snarky is to be expected. I’ll adapt.
Thanks again.

Hi, I experimented a bit further with the swing function (I have to confess, I have never used it so far, so it’s interesting to me, too). If having the general Playback-> Timing set to swing 8ths, one can still override this in sections of your music.
If I invoke the Time Signature Popover, I can type “straight (no swing)” - and that bar is being played straight. I am sure, there is much more to explore, and I am actually astonished that these functions work in the iPad version.
