Quick question - I just noticed that my current project is set to 48kHz/16 bit instead of 24 bit. I would have to assume I can just switch to 24? Just want to make sure. There are no audio files in the project yet.
I can’t see any problems with that.
The bit resolution in the Project Setup defines only the resolution of the files that get saved when you record to an audio track through your audio interface. You can change it at any given time.
You can furthermore mix audiofiles with different bit resolutions in the same project without any problem.
Just make sure the sample rate remains the same. That is the little troublemaker.
