Switching one VST in a Playback Template

Does anyone know if it would be possible to change part of a Playback Template but keep the rest.

E.G. I have a custom Playback Template at the moment but sometimes I’d love to use “big band-style” Tpts instead of my current “orchestral” ones. It would be really useful if I could just switch them over but leave the remaining instruments in the project as they are.

Of course, it’s easy to just create a new Playback Template but then any further customisations to other instruments would have to be done in all of the templates.

Couldn’t you just create an endpoint with you preferred trumpets and add it to your custom playback template (using the arrows, move it up in priority)?

When you want the old trumpets, just remove the endpoint.
