I’m using Dorico 6.1.10, trying to select the SynthesizerV 2.2.0b2 VST3 plugin in Play Mode, but it’s not in the list. I can open it in Cubase, but not Dorico. I’ve tried clearing cache, etc. numerous time to no avail. Running Windows 11. Diagnostics attached. I see that one of the logs says it failed to load, but why? SynthV 2.1 plugin did not work either. Appreciate the help.
It rescanned, but still does not work. I took a video of the status messages on the Dorico load screen the last time. When trying to read the SynthV plug in, it showed ERROR 1.
Error 1 is Unknown Error (if it comes from the vstscanner).
Could you please run the Command Prompt with that one vstscanner invocation once more and then copy from that window the complete output text, paste into NotePad and later send it to me? Thanks very much
Cubase and Dorico are not always in perfect sync and neither are the components like vstscanner and vstscannermaster, so that might explain the difference.
And the question remains, is SynthV iLok/PACE protected?
@anthem_writer, you only have half a dozen plug-ins and the scanning should be really quick. The vstscannermaster.log shows exactly that. Scanning each plug-in takes roughly half a second, only SynthV takes 40s, which is the time-out value we built in.
What is happening there? Well, the vstscannermaster creates for each plug-in an own worker thread which invokes the corresponding plug-in. It itmes out. From this I assume that the vstscanner is hanging in SynthV

Are there any crash files to be found. If so, please zip them up and send me.
Thanks a lot, but this is not pertinent anymore, it’s way too old.
It would be better to have a remote screen sharing session, if that is okay with you.
Let me know what you think about that.
according to user @JJmus there is already a fix version of Synth V available.
Please follow the link given in this thread. Would be great if you can confirm the fix as well.
I’m back from vacation. I installed the beta 3 version of Synth V, and it appears all they did was insert a ping every 39 seconds to reset the Dorico timeout. After a few hundred seconds of waiting, it errors anyway.
