Quick follow up: In the meantime Dreamtonics delivered an updated version which now does load and stay.
what’s the latest on this Ulf? I just tried installing the latest demo of SynthV in Dorico but it is still blocked (in other words it simply shows a NotePerformer placeholder), though it seems fine in Cubase.
I received from Dreamtonic a download link for a beta version that does load and stay. I have not tried it myself, but forwarded the link to anthem_writer and he confirmed that it is fine now. I’m not going to post the link here publicly, since it is a beta and I don’t want to get in trouble with Dreamtonic or anyone. Maybe you can ask them directly yourself. Dreamtonics support is not the fastest, but pretty responsive.

thanks, Ulf – it’s not that important. Playing around with standalone mode is quite fun but I don’t yet think the product is of practical use for me, even with the supposedly best voices so I’m not going to spend too much time with it.
actually, the beta 2.2 version seems to be freely available on the Dreamtonics forum so I simply downloaded it from there and can confirm it works in Dorico.

and another update – the 2.2 version is now an official release. Unfortunately, if you simply go to the website and ask to download the trial, it still offers 2.1 which is rather confusing (and doesn’t work with Dorico). Perhaps this will soon change. In the meantime any new user should probably just download the 2.2 beta (a google search will link to the forum) after which they will likely soon be prompted to download the official release as I was.
