System ending before page margins

Hello, I’m having trouble with one system (the top one in the attached picture) that ends before the page margins. I checked the page overrides–nothing there. I checked note spacing for any red dots—nothing there. I tried manually moving the bar to the end of the frame and it gets stuck at that same boundary. It’s not the final bar, so there shouldn’t be any justification issues that I’m aware of, and I turned off that box just in case and it still did not work. Any thoughts on a solution?

Hard to say without the file.

Yep. I can wait patiently in the meantime.

The file is too large and I can’t include a link, how do I send it?

If you apply the silence playback template it should shrink.

I tried excerpting just the flow with the issue and that worked.

The issue is on page 12 of the “Full Score”, page 9 of the “String Score”, and it happens 3 times on page 7 of “Percussion Score”

This is a real puzzler!
I have no explanation for why it behaves the way it does, or how to approach a solution, but in the Full Score layout when I deleted the three Bass Drum notes at the start of bar 67 that system then expanded to its full width. Others might have some ideas as to what is going on.

Edit (a few minutes later):
The same happens if the “Bon. 3” note is deleted. Also if its stem direction is flipped.

In the String Score layout and the Percussion Scorelayout, flipping the first 8th-note of the Bass Drum in bars 64 and 65 also restores the system width.

I’m having coffee and will be back here in my studio in just a few moments.

Also, changing the voice of the Bon. 3 to up-stem restores the system width as well.

Hmm, good to know there are some solutions here, though they require changing the notation, which otherwise looks how I want. Sounds like the voices and maybe the instrument changes are causing the issues.
