Like a fool I updated to windows 11 last night and now I keep getting the "System ID has changed " every time I open the program .
Not sure if this is on the fix list.
Maybe it is enough to close Nuendo, open the Activation Manager, deactivate Nuendo and then activate it again.

Well it was nice while it lasted. Meaning I updated Windows 11 to its latest version and restarted and same thing.
Wi-Fi : might be that you have ‘Random Mac Address’ enabled. Search web on how to turn off in Windows 11 Network Wi-Fi Settings (very simple)
Generally though its better to use a physical ethernet conection if possible and disable wi-fi.
Are we sure this message comes from Steinberg?
Just going on the display, it looks like a plugin-based message complaining about the license. It says “license file,” so potentially you could search your appropriate application folder(s) for text containing that - not very dependable, but you may get lucky.
If true, and the MixConsole channel reference of “Zerner” corresponds to the error message, then you could potentially test the plugins on that channel to (hopefully) identify which plug-in is giving you that notification.
yes, Looks like a 3rd party plugin licence issue.
Do you have anything running on your machine that uses the old licensing scheme from Steinberg?
I still have the dongle but that’s because I’m too lazy to rip it out. I still had the problem without the dongle, it was the corrupt soft e-licencer.
Mine is fine now. Another Windows update and a run of the Activation Manager seemed to do the trick.
