I am a bit confused by the current product lineup.
I am looking to create an i-series instrument client using system link.
I have a vast quantity of software instruments and I want to ALWAYS be able to play them in real time start to finish.
My DAW is somewhat ancient but its a quad with a vast array of PCI cards filling loads of slots with latency inducing but ace sounding EQ’s and limiters and reverbs etc etc. So I don’t want to, and don’t need to change the main machine.
But I do want this second machine rack mounted and live playable, I have already played a live VST piano and synths etc, so this kit will come out with me.
What is the most cost effective way of achieving a good lineup of software instruments via system link without having to worry too much about running out of slots?
