System Settings

I understand about exporting/importing libraries, but what about moving system preferences to another instance of Dorico?

Someone wrote
Your default options, app preferences, playback templates, etc are all stored in:
Mac: /Users/[yourUserName]/Library/Application Support/Steinberg/Dorico 4
Win: C:\Users\YourNameHere\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\Dorico 5

Which files am I copying to export my user preferences (NOT document specific libraries) so that I can be up and running easily?

For example, I’ve changed shortcuts etc

Which of these files do i need to copy to second computer to ensure all my preferences are loaded? ty

All the XML and JSON files. Also, if you’ve got any Scripts, Playback Templates and Endpoints, they’ll also appear there in separate folders. Possibly Project file templates, too.

However, be warned that some of these files, like the preferences.xml, contain file paths to locations, and if these aren’t correct on the new setup, that will cause trouble.

Can you elaborate about locations? My goal here is to easily set up new computer with my settings

For example, here are some file paths in my preferences.xml file.

If I copy that to a new computer, and my username is different, then Dorico won’t be able to save those files. Most of those you can set in the Preferences window, but the Autosave Path, you can’t. I think.
