System track should remain at the top of Galley View

Just wanted to bring this up again… It would be super-useful for the System Track to remain at the top of Galley View, no matter how far down you scroll. Having measure numbers on ever bar/frame in Galley view is way too cluttered!

It does!
If you want to turn off the bar numbers uncheck the option in view>bar numbers>galley view.

Janus, that’s not my experience. I have the bar numbers turned off in my score in Galley View, of course (it’s just too much), but the System Track scrolls out of sight when I move down through the score. It should just hug the top of the window at all times, IMO.

Floating system track? duplicate system track

They are visible by default in galley view, but they can be switched off: switch them back on with View > Bar Numbers > Galley View. The system track does indeed always draw at the top of the nominal page in galley view. It has been suggested before that it would be handy to have it appear at the top of the view instead, regardless of what part of the music is vertically in view, and that’s something we may implement in future.
