I have gone through the steps to show tab in my bass part and it will not show. I go through the same steps in my guitar part and it shows… what is going on and how do I fix it.
Do you see the bass guitar instrument appear in the Fretted Instruments section of the Players page of Layout Options? If not, that suggests your bass guitar instrument isn’t actually a bass guitar. Try using Change Instrument to change it to a bass guitar.
Thanks for the reply… everything looked the way it should as in the video. I finally copied the part and made a new file with the 4 string bass and followed the video directions and it worked like it should. However it only worked on the overall file and not the part. I do not understand that. I went back to my original score and tried to do it in the full score and select the bass… and noting happened… I did it for the guitar and it worked…
There must be a bug somewhere.

Each Layout can show or hide the TAB separately. Go to the Layout Options of the part that is not showing TAB and fix it there.

You will probably find that selecting the right layout first - before applying Layout Options - will give you the desired result. As pointed out by Derrek in the prior message.
