I have two parts which play in the first 12 bars, and then are tacet for the rest of the piece. How can I activate the “tacet al fine” option instead of printing 80 bars of rests? It seems that I only have that option when the meter doesn’t change…
That’s correct, at present there’s no way around it. It’s been discussed before.

I tried the following experiment and it worked. For the 2 parts, at each time change add a local time sig (alt-enter) on each of those 2 parts. They will then be individually selectable. Select them and hide them from the Properties Panel.
