Don’t get an ilok! slate and softube plug ins are so fine and addictive, do not attempt to try the, because you will be hooked! you have been warned!
I don’t know why, but I’m busting a gut at that comment right now.
As a response I will say that ATRAC was great sounding for its time. I can buy into the warm and cosy. I have a old Pioneer consumer deck that is happily humming along… but yeah - unless Sony is bending the laser light with quantum electrodynamics or something crazy it’s the DAC and ATRAC doing the magic.
Without sounding too much like a Slate salesman if you buy VTM you will be most likely buy the VCC so - fair warning. Welcome to the slippery slope of plugin mania.
I bought VCC & VTM bunde. Learned the most common signal flow > VTM >plugins>VCC. On the bus >VCC (buscom) VTM
Removed the channels trip in the mixconsole as a preset. Voila! I like Everything else in C7; temperature midi, chord track, look, mixer. Should be a bit snappier though.
