Tapspace VDL and Marching Band Template

I am trying to get Kontakt player 8 to work with the marching band and drumline templates I purchased through tapspace. Can anyone help walk me through this? I thought Dorico was going to be much simpler than Finale and this is turning out to be much more of a challenge than I was lead to believe.

Here is specifically what I need help with:

  1. Setting up the VDL in the template so that the winds work and percussion works with Kontakt 8.
  2. Understanding what the terminology is (editing end points? what are endpoints? how do I edit those?)
  3. Basically, getting the thing I paid $200 for to work properly with the $50 templates I purchased.

There are not instructions in any of the help guides that explain this at a novice level.

Hi.

As far as I know, there are some percussion maps available, but I am afraid they’re not for free.

The Marching band sounds available with Dorico 6 do come from Tapspace and are a limited version of the library you’ve bought.
