Technical question about Nuendo. If I do a track freeze including the channel parameters (i.e. the plugins and their parameters, in order to lighten the CPU), does this correctly include all Sidechain configuration and reactions, including the internal configuration of plugins such as fabfilter’s Pro EQ 3 - and in relation to tracks outside this freeze -? Wouldn’t we be better off, in this case, bouncing the tracks concerned in real time?
p.s. The function is called Freeze Channel Options. The manual says that you hear after freezing what you expected before freezing. But I have my doubts about dynamic functions in Sidechain, especially internal to a plug-in like Fabfilter’s Pro EQ with its dynamic functions.
p.s. 2. I answer myself (it may be useful to someone else): According to my first tests in another specific session, it works well. The calculation, the dynamic reaction in sidechain is done well. Is it as perfect (in every detail) as a bounce or a render, I don’t know. It’s hard to say.
