Hi. After working on adjusting template settings, when I close the editor the page shrinks down to 131% instead of the 200% that it was set to before doing any editing?
Are you just talking about the Zoom factor? Yes, Tthe page Template editor has its own zoom.
The normal page view should maintain its own zoom, but if not, just zoom in/out.
I do zoom back out (command +) I was just wondering if I was doing something to cause it
And Write mode and Engrave mode have their own zooms as well.
I would presume that if the preferences are set to “open in page view” and the zoom preferences are set to 200%, then every time you return to page view it would be at 200%
Yes but if you switch between Set Up/Write and Engrave modes, the zoom setting stays constant in all modes.
So by working on a template and closing it you have to use a few more keystrokes to get back to the original zoom levels?
I give up
I don’t think this is a valid assumption. I think this is probably the default zoom and view when a window/tab is first created.
It does seem that when you edit a page template and then close the page template editor, the resulting Engrave mode window retains the zoom from the page template editor, rather than returning to the zoom that was previously used in Engrave. I don’t know if this behavior is expected/intended.
My understanding of this is that the view and zoom level apply when you open the file — it doesn’t force it to stay there or return to it when you switch. Any change you make after the file is opened becomes the new zoom level.
