Accessing templates seems about as basic as you can get. I would request a way to organize them into categories rather than have to scroll through a single long list of templates. Thanks.
Hi,
You can categorize them into 5 different categories:
- Recording
- Scoring
- Production
- Mastering
- More
Select the given category, while saving the Template.
Right. But AFAICT, the category only appears as a subtitle below the template’s title text. I see no way to filter or organize the categories when you go to create a new project - still just a big long scrolling list. Am I missing some other step or feature?
Yes but that seems to achieve nothing. Where are the different categories located or indicated in the Hub? As @jpgtr says this seems to be a bug.
Hi,
Oh, this is different in Cubase and Nuendo, sorry.
Wow - I didn’t realize they were different, either. I guess the Nuendo version of the template Hub is not a bug - just different. (Folders are for projects only, apparently)
My feature request stands. Template organizer, please.
No, AFAICT that is a bug. Choosing the categories does nothing - if that is intentional then presumably there should be no categories in Nuendo or some other arrangement.
Yeah, the hub needs an overhaul with listing/filter options, and the hubs for both Cubase and Nuendo should be identical.
It is different by intention. The concept with the user locations offers a different approach to the hub.
The categories are useful for filtering in the media bay.
Hi,
Yes, it is.
Didn’t think of that. Thanks for the explanation.
What is the benefit of using the media bay with templates? I cannot think of a use case here.
Unless someone can open my eyes otherwise, I would think implementing a categories filter would be far more practical in a “Create Project” workflow (which is currently the Hub).
You still can create projects from templates with the media bay.
