Templates issues

Hello,

I can’t seem to assign the “First” page layout to my conductor’s score.
Could someone help me?

If you right-click page 1 in the upper right of your picture, you can insert a page template change.

I tried that, but it duplicates the first page…

It might be that the frame chains are wrong. Could you post the file? Also, if you edited the first page template, did you copy the settings to both the left and right pages?

To explain slightly more fully what Jesper’s just said:

Double click the First Page Template in the right panel of Engrave mode to open it in the Page Template Editor. Select Frames mode in the left panel. Now click on the blue music frame and look at the dropdown menus in its top left corner. Is the Frame Chain set to something beginning with M? If not, set to it MA (and if it’s MB or MC then that’s fine, but note what it is).

Now Apply and Close. If that hasn’t fixed it, open up the Default Page Template in the same way, and set its Music Frame’s Frame Chain to the same thing as in the First Page Template (likely MA, and definitely something starting “M”).

I can’t upload the file. It’s over 4 MB. Any tips? I also copied the settings from left to right. No changes.

If you apply the Silence playback template under Play->Playback Template…, and save, it should reduce the size.

Just as I said, and @pianoleo explained in detail, you need to open the First page template, and set the Frame chain to MA on both the left and right page.

Thank you for your help, gentlemen. I was clicking “unlink,” which is why the problem occurred.
