Templates missing in Hub at C15 startup

I have now repeatedly experienced my templates not showing up at startup of Cubase 15, or suddenly reappearing after a significant delay, or reappearing only after closing a project.

I clearly want my templates to show up in the Hub without any delay when I start Cubase. How can this problem be fixed? Or do we need a quickfix from Steinberg to get it resolved?

same here… exactly

I just found the probable main cause for the massive template delay.

After stwitching off “show web content” in the hub settings, my templates show up nearly within 2-3 seconds again. This is still a slight delay, while alle my other projects and last projects show up immediately, so this should be fixed by Steinberg.

And if they want users to take notice of their web content window, they should urgently fix this delay bug anyways, or users might have to switch off the option permanently.

I’m having this issue. Turning off “Show Web Content” makes no difference.

This was working when I first installed v15. It’s just after the last update that my templates are missing in the Hub.

Anyone have a solution?

I noticed that Media Bay was blank and not displaying any content.

I reinstalled Media Bay, and everything seems to be back to normal now.

same issue here occasionally, it finally shows up after about 2-3 mins and a much as that isn’t a huge amount of time, it massively slows down my workflow and is just another hurdle in the way of working on music. I really wish steinberg worked on the overall speed and “clunkiness” of cubase especially on mac.

Frankly, I don’t understand why this was not fixed in the update.

Sometimes my user templates appear within 10 seconds, sometimes it needs 1-3 Minutes. That’s simply not an acceptable waiting time just for starting Cubase with a template.

Open Media Bay, right‑click on User Content or Project Templates, and select Quick Rescan Disk. The newly saved templates should then appear.

Thanks Septrinus. Within the Cubase 15 Media Bay, I never had problems finding the Templates. I just want to be able to choose a template right away at Cubase startup in the Hub.

Media Bay rescan within Cubase also seems to accelerate the Hub finding initially, but when I first tried that a few weeks ago, the sluggish Hub response returned again later.

I just found this thread after experiencing this problem myself, when setting up a brand new DAW PC. I appear to have figured out why the problem was happening- for me at least.

I am a Microsoft OneDrive user; I have studios in two different cities and I use OneDrive to keep my Cubase projects in sync. This works wonderfully when you have your Cubase Projects folder set to “Always Keep on This Device” (which I already did)- however after I opened the Media Bay (after being prompted to do so by this thread) I am noticing that Cubase is looking for a bunch of files in Documents\Steinberg and Documents\VST3 Presets, which I hadn’t thought to set to keep locally on this PC yet.

OneDrive is furiously syncing the directories as I type this. I have a feeling that once the directories are synced up, the next time I launch Cubase 15 things will go a bit smoother. Thanks for the Media Bay tip- it’s what caused me to see what was really happening!

EDIT: This did in fact work. Even though the template content is stored under AppData on Windows, it seems like Cubase wasn’t getting around to updating the template list until all the other local content was discovered.
