Device / OS / App version:
-
iPhone 13 Pro Max
-
iOS version: 18.6.2
-
Cubasis version: 3.8.1
Issue description:
I’m encountering consistent and repeatable behavior where tempo control becomes disabled after reopening a project that contains imported audio or MIDI files. When the project is reopened, the tempo appears to reset to a very slow value (approximately 60 BPM), and the tempo control is no longer editable.
Steps to reproduce:
-
Create a new Cubasis project.
-
Set a specific project tempo (e.g., 100–120 BPM).
-
Import an audio file or MIDI file (this occurs with:
-
user-created audio files
-
user-created MIDI files
-
third-party MIDI loop libraries
-
Cubasis factory loops).
-
-
I have tried matching the project tempo before and after importing without any success
-
Save the project.
-
Close Cubasis.
-
Reopen Cubasis and load the same project.
Observed behavior:
-
Project tempo is reset to a very slow value (appears to default to ~60 BPM).
-
Tempo control is disabled and cannot be changed.
-
Playback speed reflects the incorrect tempo.
Troubleshooting already attempted:
-
Deleted and reinstalled Cubasis.
-
Created new projects from scratch.
-
Used factory demo projects as a baseline.
-
Imported different file types (audio, MIDI, factory loops, and third-party MIDI loops).
-
Issue persists across all scenarios tested.
Additional notes:
-
This occurs reliably and is not project-specific.
-
The behavior only appears after reopening the project; tempo works correctly before closing the app.
Please let me know if this is a known issue, a setting I may be missing, or if additional diagnostics/logs would be helpful. I’m happy to test a workaround if one exists.
Thank you.
