To delete the tempo only in the marked section, do I need to enter “allarg.” as regular staff text?
Yes.
If allarg. is created as System Text or via the Tempo popover, hiding the text above one staff will hide it everywhere.
Luckily, the Paragraph Style for gradual tempo changes - Tempo (Gradual) - is already available to choose in the Text popover.
