Tempo Hide?

After setting it locally in the marked panel and unchecking “Text shown,” the tempo disappears in other part layouts as well. Is there a way to hide it only for the desired instrument? Must I write it only as staff attached text?

No offense but you are continuously fighting the framework.
Tempo changes are crucial, they must be propagated to all players.

Tempo markings cannot be hidden locally (for safety reasons, if I may say, that’s better! As @Vadian is saying, it’s highly recommended to show tempo changes everywhere.)

So, to answer your question: if you want to hide your Lento in some parts, yes, you must enter it as a system-attached text.

Thanks. @charles_piano @Vadian

I’d certainly welcome the option though, for long tempo markings in part layouts where horizontal space is scarce. I’d love to be able to hide the tempo mark in just those part layouts and replace them with staff text so I can e.g. add a line break. (An alternative would be to add the line break in the actual tempo marking locally, but that seems a whole lot more complicated to implement). This can currently only be done by adding the tempo marking as system text for all layouts, but since text items behave differently than tempo markings when it comes to alignment/collision avoidance etc., this potentially comes with a bunch of extra manual adjustments.

I agree! I’m sure that the day Dorico offers an option to display tempi differently depending on the layouts, it’ll be well done! Let’s hope it comes in a future version
