Tempo map

I am trying to import a media project back into Cubase (to create a click track to export to audio to re-import into VSTL) but for some reason Cubase is not seeing the tempo map, one is created by the media project export though. On simple songs, this isn’t a problem, I could just set tempo to the same. But a few of the songs in the VSTL project have many multiple tempo changes.

What am I missing?

Do you add the tempo track in Cubase at exporting?

Initially yes. But those Cubase exported media project files have been lost. So I only had the exported from VST Live 3 to work with. It does create a tempo map though on export.
