I’ve tried to notate something similar to the image attached, which is a screenshot of Sibelius 7th symphony, but without success. Basically, it shows the tempo mark Adagio and that it’s going to be measured in quarter notes, but without specifying the metronome mark.
I’d like to know if there is a way of doing this with Dorico at the moment.

There isn’t a good way of doing it directly, no. I think you’ll need to add a text item using Shift+X to achieve this at the moment.

Anyway, while writing the text item, how do I include the quarter note symbol?
Change the font to Bravura Text and copy and paste in the appropriate character from e.g. this page.
I believe Sibelius works are incompatible with Dorico. =)
