Tempo marking edit

Hello y’all. I’m trying to change a tempo marking to something different from the Dorico default. It’s straightforward to add/insert a tempo marking with either the sidebar or shift-t popover. The default for allegro is “allegro q=140”, which of course displays a quarter note before “=”. But if I want the q to be =130 instead, the best I can find using all the options from the side bar or manually typing into popover (as Steinberg help suggests), is the the text becomes “allegro =130”. The q note is not there before “=”. Wassup with that?

You could simply change the tempo property…

If you type into the popover Allegro q = 130, then you should get what you’re looking for. Are you typing something different?

Been there done that. If I change the bpm, it deletes the 140 and leaves a = 140 with no quarter note displayed.

I wonder if this might be a font issue of some kind. Can you upload a cut down version of your project that demonstrates the issue? It could be just the first bar of the piece, as long as you can reproduce this issue in that bar.

Sorry, I meant it leaves =130 without the quarter note.

Aha, you are correct. I changed the music text font to Bravura text and got it working.
