Tempo marking for time signature5/8. How can I create a tempo marking with a quarter-note + a dotted quarter-note = 66?

The original music I am arranging shows tempo marking with a quarter-note + a dotted quarter-note = 66, meaning beating in 1 for the conductor.

With such rhythms I usually just give the tempo equation in eighths even though sometimes the MM numbers may look ridiculous.

No, this is just system text, not a real tempo marking. But you can add a hidden real tempo marking at the same position to set the playback tempo.

For example, if you want the bar to be 66bpm, as in your image, you can write that as system text with MusGlyphs and then add a hidden tempo marking of e=330.
