Tempo Marking with No Stem

Is there a way to create a tempo marking, say quarter note = 90, and have only the notehead of the quarter note show? Is there a key-mapping for bravura that I don’t know about that would change that?

I’m a little confused. Can you post an example of what you mean?

My apologies, I meant note"head" not notepad.

I would use MusGlyphs, which is a font created by one of our forum members: @dan_kreider.

You will need to create this metronome mark using System Text.

  • Shift+Alt+X at the position you want the text (the Alt will make it System Text rather than just staff text)
  • Select MusGlyphs as the font and enter Q/
  • That’s it

For playback, you will need to create a separate metronome mark using Shift+T and hide the metronome mark via the Properties panel.
