Tempo/system text alignment

I don’t believe this is possible, and apologies if it’s been covered, but SECTION LABEL 1 aligns with the tempo as I’d like (as there is no time signature), while SECTION LABEL 2 does not (as the tempo aligns with the time signature while the section label does not).

Is there any way to make text follow the same horizontal alignment rules as tempi? Or are tempi just a special case that’s not able to be applied to other text elements?

Just a thought: maybe you could use system text to display the tempo, using the same font, and just hide the real tempo marking in order to retain playback? I guess they would align then?

That sounds possible…but very complicated :smile: For now I’ll just stick with good ol’ Engrave Mode nudge!

There is indeed no way to do this at the moment. We would need to add an extra option to the paragraph style to allow it to align with the time signature.
