Title: Tempo text and metronome mark overlapping

Hi!

I’m having an issue with tempo markings in Dorico. When I enter both a tempo/style indication, such as “Country”, and a metronome mark, they overlap instead of being positioned correctly next to each other.

As you can see in the attached screenshot, “♩ = 100” and the tempo text are placed on top of each other.

Does anyone know why this happens and how I can fix it? Is there a setting for the spacing or positioning between tempo text and the metronome mark?

Could be the font you’re using. Library->Paragraph Styles->Tempo immediate and Metronome mark + Library->Character Styles->Metronome Mark Music Text.

Thanks for the clarification. I’ve attached an example project that demonstrates the issue. Hopefully this makes it easier to see what is happening and determine what might be causing it.

It’s not exactly what you want, but if you go into Properties and set Tempo > Metronome mark order to Before, you get this:

In Library Manager…, in the column on the left, click on the red ≠ icon next to Paragraph Styles. Wait until it turns green, then click on Apply.

In Paragraph Styles > Tempo (Metronom Mark), you have this negative indent:

The problem is the negative first line indent of the Tempo (Metronome mark) paragraph style

Perhaps they’ve changed the Parent style at some point. I’ve noticed that sometimes when you do that, all toggle switches get activated. Though I can’t consistently reproduce that now.

Edit: this only seems to happen when you create a new Paragraph style specifically when you change the Parent from (None) to something else. Probably not what happened here, sorry for the noise.
