Tempo with quintuplet

I’m reading that I can use the Metrico font to do what I’m trying to do.

I’m trying to make the first, but Gardner Read might say the second is correct.

As far as I can tell, I would do this with the staff-text popover instead of the tempo tool. Is that correct?

One more thing… When I use Bravura Text to input single noteheads in a text editor, they are too high above the bassline. Is there anyway to adjust this?

MusGlyphs is another nice font for such things.

I assume this is part of a tempo (aka metric) modulation? If so, left- and right-pointing arrows can be very helpful. As for your Q, k prefer the top version.

As for adding the text, I recommend doing so as system rather than staff text if you want it to show on all part layouts as a “normal” tempo indication would.

MusGlyphs will also let you enter symbols in text boxes, which should address your last issue.

Thank you!

I found Dan’s wonderful tutorial on MusGlyphs. It doesn’t show how to put tuplet numbers over notes. Would someone please point me to this information?

I’ve seen it without the bracket sometimes. Is there anyway to do it that way? Your solution will work for me.

I’d say the easiest way would be to enter the 5 as text (with “Insert Music Text”) in the same text box as ♪ = 100 and to tweak a bit the font settings in the text editor.

Maybe other users will have better ideas though!

A Playing Technique, perhaps.
