Text frame delete?

I have a question about deleting a text frame. After I delete the text frame highlighted in orange and continue editing, the frame reappears as shown in the blue highlight. In the right panel of Page Template editor (or Page Layout mode), the page doesn’t show the red triangle override mark. In this case, how can I completely delete the text frame and prevent it from regenerating?

I’m not able to reproduce this – but those frames are flow headings, not regular text frames. If you don’t want any of them to display, instead of deleting them you can turn them off in Layout Options > Page Setup Flows > Show flow headings.

If you want some of them to display but not others, then in Setup mode you can right click the layout and choose Flow Heading Overrides to indicate which flows you don’t want to see the flow heading for.

Thanks.

If I enter text in token format rather than plain text, does it automatically become a flow heading?

Why do you ask here, and wait for some hours to get an answer, if you could test it yourself, and have the answer in seconds?

To edit (or create) a flow heading without overrides, you must be here in Engrave mode:

Thanks.
