Text frame vertical alignment mystery

Been trying to solve a mystery with a simple text frame I’ve put in my First Page Layout at the bottom of the page for the copyright notice. As you can see from the first screen shot, I’ve got the frame where I want it with the text sitting snugly at the bottom of the frame. Vertical Alignment is set to BOTTOM. I put a visible border on the frame to help us see the ensuing issue. I copy LEFT to RIGHT, APPLY and CLOSE. All should be fine.
BUT

The second screen shot shows the text NOT sitting snugly at the bottom of the frame. Instead, it’s a few mm from the bottom. This problem only occurs when I set Vertical Alignment to BOTTOM. Setting it to TOP works as expected, with the text sitting snugly against the top of the frame. What am I missing? Thanks in advance!

Go to Project Info and check if you maybe have a rogue carriage return at the end of your Copyright text.

Thank you.

Hi @Tracy_Icenogle, I think you should give the Solution checkmark to the post by @hrnbouma, who gave the solution. (Now you gave the solution to your own post)

This is helpful for other user, as the solution post is highlighted just below the original request (and is also part of the Netiquette of the Forum). Thank you for considering changing it.
