TGuitar CC changes don't play

Recently I bought TGuitar and watched John’s video about VST instruments.

The key switches work as expected but I could not make to play the CC changes like Pick/Fingers and Strum.

I’m using the latest version of Dorico 5 (5.1.70.2200) on Mac and the provided TGuitar Playback Template and Expression Map from the Dorico blog website.

This is a test file
TGuitarTest.dorico (1.1 MB)

.

I’m far from an expert with TGuitar, but I believe you need to set the Mode to Chords in the TGuitar instrument itself within HALion.

Thanks for the response, Daniel, but when I do that then the Solo parts are not played properly. The CC changes are supposed to switch between Solo and Chords on my behalf.

Are you sure? I was just looking at the documentation for TGuitar in connection with another post on the forum, and I see no mention of being able to change the Mode via a MIDI CC change.

Yes, I am. In his video John uses a similar music example and there the software performs the Solo/Chords switch.

The mode is changed with CC 75.
This is described in the Important - read me document.

I’ll tag in @John_at_Steinberg here to take a look when he gets a chance. (Unlike me, John has a reasonable work-life balance, so don’t expect him to pop up here at the weekend.)

Thanks, I already wrote a mail to John two weeks ago but didn’t get an answer yet (I’m not complaining).

Additionally I’d like to mention that I don’t even see the CC changes in the MIDI editor.

Apologies, I’m a bit behind on the Discover inbox.
