As we here in the US are heading into Thanksgiving, I took two hymns commonly used for the season (“Now Thank We All Our God” & “We Gather Together”) and combined them into an orchestral medley. I used NP 5.0 for the Horns and 1st & 2nd Violins (the libraries with those instruments I’d like to use with NP 5.0 playback engines cannot playback glissandos in it-they sound like screaming mosquitos); GPO5 for Flute 1, Clarinet 2; SSO 2024 for Clar. 3, Flute 2 & Timp.; BBC Core for Oboe, Clar. 2, Bassoon & Trumpet 1, Bass Drum, Harp, Piatti, Cello & Bass; Berlin Free for Trumpet 2 & Trombone 1 and Prime for Trombone 2, Bass Trombone & Violas (Elite).
This Concert Band work is the spiritual “Deep River.” It is all NP 5.0 out-of-the-box instruments and reverb.
