anyone cracked an easy method to retrieve old ‘all’ files? there seems a reluctance to include an easy option yet again. i don’t like the idea of having achieve work i cannot get to because of a companies choice to exclude a backward compatible form. [cpr] - somehow “go buy an old computer and load yer dongle and cubase sl - it might work“ just doesn’t seem adequate.
On Windows 11 with any current machine of mine, It “does” work….not “might”.
So yeah….it’s pretty easy imo.
Vote for @raino 's feature request:
what is your earliest cubase version in your elicence software? mine did work while i still had a cubase 10[?] still in but the oldest now shows up as cubase pro 11 {on the dongle}. my new cubase 15 has nothing to do with that 2022? being the last need to own a dongle was the case.
My dongle licenses are cb10 and 11 pro, spectralayers & other stuff.
With the elicenser attached, I can run cubase sx 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11. Early versions are installed on my Win11 Pro systems from a combination of sb available downloads and the ftp.
12,13,14 are via the new-style licenses of course.
I pretty much keep installers for all the Cubendos ever made….not necessarily sure why…but I do ![]()
And as I always say, I looove cb6.5 and 9. They’re always a joy to start up.
