The application runs extremely slow and other problems

I’m experiencing several issues with Cubase 14 Pro on my Mac Mini M1, which worked flawlessly prior to the latest update. Below are the specific problems I’ve encountered:

  1. Performance Issues:

• The application runs extremely slow, significantly impacting workflow. This was not the case before the update.

  1. Drag and Drop to Serato Samples:

• Dragging and dropping samples into Serato Sample no longer works, even though this functionality was seamless in previous versions.

  1. Mix Monolith:

• The plugin no longer displays how much gain has been added or reduced. This feature worked perfectly before the update.

  1. Prepare Media for Archive:

• Instead of copying samples to the project audio folder, this feature now moves them from the original folder, leading to the loss of many samples!!!

Cubase 14 is a complete mess

Not quite, perhaps you should post some information about your issues and your system because everything in Cubase 14 is rock solid here on an M2 Pro Mac Mini fully up to date.

Because you’re not having issues doesn’t mean the hoardes of others aren’t…

Then maybe you need to re-read exactly what I posted and get to work on fixing it?

Hi @alin89c ,
can you explain how to read/interpret the chart, please?

Minimum requirement is macOS 13, but @alin89c uses macOS 10.15 which is unmaintained and yet Cubase runs perfectly fine on his computer

This one issue is actually highly concerning! :astonished:

What did you update? The Mac or Cubase?
Did you update from Cubase 13 to Cubase 14, or specifically 14.0.05 to 14.0.10? (yes Cubase 14 got released as 14.0.05)
Did you open Preferences in Cubase, tweak at least one thing and click Apply? Doing this procedure fixes a lot of things especially when updating from a previous major version (13 to 14 for instance), but for some reason it can break at any time, so I recommend doing it if you haven’t done it since the update.

And if I recall @alin89c 's previous posts correctly, he’s on either an older unsupported Mac or a Hackintosh using OpenCore on top of it hah.
