The Audio Connections Outputs preset folder?

Does anyone know which folder the Audio Connections Outputs preset for Nuendo is located in? I found this location online, but it doesn’t exist.

Do you want to save them, for use post preferences deletion?

Overall device IO configurations and mappings are spread among different files, and relate to each other based on various XML data. Audio Connection presets are all collected into a single XML file (using Nuendo 14 as an example): ~/Library/Preferences/Nuendo 14/Presets/RamPresets.xml (which maps back to device data in ~/Library/Preferences/Nuendo 14/Port Setup.xml).

For backup and restore purposes you would probably want to copy the entire “../Preferences/Nuendo XX” folder.

If you had multiple output connection presets, they would ALL be contained in that single file and parsed by the app. They’re not really “user serviceable” but you can edit them if you need to, like if you’ve changed your audio device driver and it gets registered as a completely different device and you want to update the files to reflect channel mapping for the new device ID. Make backups, use at your own risk, etc.

Thanks for the reply above. My Nuendo 12 has some presets for audio connections. I recently upgraded to Nuendo 14 and want to transfer those presets over. I copied the Port Setup.xml and Presets folder from Nuendo 12 into Nuendo 14, but when I opened Nuendo 14, I couldn’t find the original presets. This is frustrating! It should be possible to export presets from the old version and load them into the new one.

Okay, now the presets for Nuendo 12 are also gone.:joy:

In every “in-place” upgrade I’ve performed since Cubase 12 (I began using Nuendo at 13) the upgrade has imported the previous version’s settings each time as long as the same interface was present. Copying to a different machine, or with a different interface hardware ID won’t work because the presets are not only mapped to channels, those channels are mapped to a specific device. So there’s a bit more to than just “exporting presets.” If your N12 presets are gone now then they may be more going on. Copying from N12 to N14 won’t affect N12 at all. Maybe your interface has changed? It may be worth just remapping everything again, but then getting a full copy of your N14 Preferences folder and keeping that guy somewhere.

Thank you for the reminder!
