The First Ive Seen This wtf? 'Solved'

Our typical Cubase 12 crash for the day but this one has us stumped. Usually a plug in but, this crash signature is hilarious.
Any thoughts??

Mac OS, 2019 16" Intel Mackbook Pro.

Well a quick Google search shows this impacts Logic too.

Google CantTutThis

Yeah, did a google search as well and thought the Logic reference was interesting.
Well, at least its a place to start.

People have reported a connection to iLok. Update the plugins and iLok perhaps?

Yep, first thing we did. We will restart things after the days sessions and see if the problem persists.

An update to those who may be experiencing similar crashes related to " Can’tTutThis’ in the crash info.
After many hours of testing and sessions, no crashes after updating both the ‘iLok License Manager App’ and re-installing ALL the associated iLok Managed plugins. This is quite time intensive, especially if you’re giving up active session hours to accomplish it but, appears to have been effective.
Something between the Pace encryption software and the licensing of the plugins that use it doesn’t always update the database correctly. Not sure of all the details but this seems to have worked. Hope it helps for others with the same issue.

Just a follow up to the existing post for those that may have a lot of unexplained crashes that reference many different plugins. After updating ALL of our iLok related plugins (both the ones on the iLok Key and the ones Pace manages on the hard disk) as well as the iLok Pace Manager itself, we have had virtually no crashes in consecutive weeks of intensive session work. Occasionally we will get a Waves related one but, those are pretty easy to track-down by comparison.

The trick to this iLok/Pace issue is that it masquerades as different plugins each crash, making tracking the source much more difficult.
Since the updates, Cubase 12 has been stable and consistent even under heavy loads and low buffer settings. YMMV
