The forever stuck ARA2 Spectralayers ghost Event that will never go away

There’s some sort of protocol issue I cannot for the life of me figure out…

It must have something to do with file naming convention, ARA2 ID, and undo/redo…

But every so often, SL ARA2 gets an event stuck in its hosted file list or whatever you want to call it.

IT IS INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING AND CONFUSING.

‘Remove Event’ does not seem to work… and none of the files I was working with that relate to the stuck event, show as having ARA2 on them.

It doesn’t make sense: This is a freshly bounced file that I SL ARA2 and brings up an event that was previously ARA2’d but is no longer, it doesn’t even load in the new event I just ARA2’d into SL… It is stuck on one that doesn’t exist anymore - and, when I got to bounce the new event, you see that it essentially deletes volume.

Incredibly frustrating bug, rendered entire project progress standstill.

edit

quitting project/restarting cubase seemed to get rid of this pesky ghost event.

The ARA communication between Cubase and SpectraLayers is shakey ground. But I’m not too sure the fault is SpectraLayers’.

I got this a LOT when I upgraded to SL12. I had to roll back and keep using SL11. I figured my pc was due to a clean reinstall so that would take care of it, since this problem didn’t seem to be widespread.
I’ll install SL12 soon, and I’ll report what happens.
I hope you can solve it!
