Are there any changes to how the mixer:

Show the Insert names (please NO more intelligent abb)?
Are there any changes to the VCA function (that stupid mixup with the group/link function)?
Are there any improvement on the horrendeous hovering/popup info thingy?
Have they fixed the visual meter scale, which at certain width only were visible on some tracks?

Well, I have a few more… but let’s start there.

There were changes with the hovering controls and name abbreviations with the the option to show the plug-in names and insert controls on 2 separate lines since 8.5.

Linked channels like the VCA faders by default do not link record enable/monitoring but it can be activated if you choose within the link settings dialog.
