After changing the beam thickness and gap to 3/4 and 4/25, making further changes in Engraving Options crushes the program. I attach a sample file and diagnostics.

I can’t yet reproduce a crash just by adjusting random Engraving Options. Do you have some reproducible steps that lead to a crash every time?

Yes, for example changing default noteheads between wide and regular.
Once I change the beam settings, so that the thickness and gap add up to 3/4, the crushes stop.

In the version 6.2 history pdf it implies that if the total doesn’t add up to 3/4 you can expect unpredictable results.

“unpredictable results”, as in “unpredictable beam placement”, I don’t suppose they meant software instability or crushes.
