The process to get 11 on the new computer -- Is it as simple as moving the dongle?

After years and years and years, I’m finally upgrading Cubase.

I’m going from Cubase 5 to Cubase 11. Don’t judge. :slightly_smiling_face:

I am upgrading everything I own - tower, monitor, controller, interface, mic, the works. However, I’m getting the upgrade from 5 to 11…but 5 is on the old computer and 11 will be on the new one.

Is it as simple as moving the dongle? What’s the step by step process to get 11 on the new computer upgraded from 5 on the old one?

Pretty much.

  1. move dongle
  2. download and install
  3. Run elc, enter activation code.
  4. cha ching!
