The signature of eLicenserControlSetup.exe is corrupted or i

Hi all and sorry if this topic should go to another place.

Microsoft Edge (Win10 64 bits) shows this message:
“The signature of eLicenserControlSetup.exe is corrupted or invalid”

when the download has finished from:
http://download.steinberg.net/downloads/eLicenserControlSetup.exe

Same issue when I try to download:
http://support.steinberg.de/elc/win/elc-installation-helper.exe

Furthermore, Windows SmartScreen doesn’t let run both files. Is everything ok at downloads site?

Thanks in advance

P.S. Yes, I know how to run such a file

Although the eLicenserControlSetup.exe installation program has been signed using a valid certificate, the algorithm used for signing is the SHA-1 algorithm.

As attacks on the SHA-1 algorithm have become more successful in recent years, Microsoft has accelerated its timeline to deprecate the SHA-1 algorithm in favour of the more advanced SHA-256 algorithm

So, since January 1, 2016, Windows 10 will complain about SHA-1 signatures for downloaded files.

We are still in the progress of updating our signing tool chain in order to satisfy this security requirement, and once we finished this, an updated eLicenserControlSetup.exe installation program will be available.

Crystal-clear

Thank you Dirk
