The slow resale wizard process

I resold my Halion 7 two weeks ago; three days later, it was gone from my account, but I still haven’t received the new code via email. How long do I have to wait? Thank you.

What you mean with new code?

I am reselling the product via Steinberg’s “Resale Wizard” through my account; once my HALion 7 product is removed from my account, Steinberg is supposed to provide me with a new code.

The code comes together with the email from Steinberg that your product has been released.

You should check your junk folder for any mails you may have missed and if there is none, you need to contact Steinberg Support.

I contacted Steinberg support 10 days ago, and I still haven’t heard anything as of today.

Why? You don’t own the product anymore. Shouldn’t the new owner receive an email instead?

As far as I know, Steinberg sends a new code to my email, and then I pass that new code on to the new buyer.

I haven’t sold or transferred any licenses since the eLicenser days. But, yes, I believe that is how things are supposed to work.

Your license is no longer available to you, and you receive a new DAC which you provide to the purchaser of the license which you are selling.

I’m not sure what else to suggest if official Steinberg support is not helping.

@Ed_Doll any help here, please?

No, that’s not how it works.

I’m a bit unsure of what to do; my license is gone, and I haven’t received the new DAC yet. Hopefully, this is just a delay and Steinberg can resolve it as soon as possible.

I hope so, too.

No, you receive a mail with a new Download Access Code and can hand it over to the person buying it from you. Until then it is still your product.

I went through this process once and it worked perfectly fine.

Yes, that’s how the procedure is supposed to work.

Steinberg contacted me yesterday for re-verification, and there was a slight misunderstanding. Thanks for looking out for me, my friend.
